Hrithik Roshan and Farhan Akhtar celebrated their birthdays together at a posh Juhu lounge on Saturday night. Incidentally, while Farhan was already 36 when the party began, Hrithik reached the mark at the stroke of midnight.
Duggu, who arrived looking a bit tired straight after a shoot for Guzaarish, perked up considerably in the company of Sussanne, his family and his Bollywood friends.
Meanwhile Adhuna and Zoya Akhtar grooved to the music while Farhan Akhtar grouped up with Shah Rukh, Gauri, Karan Johar, who were later joined by Abhishek and Aishwarya. Vivek Oberoi was among the guests - he arrived on a bike.
Kareena Kapoor and boyfriend Saif Ali Khan were also spotted enjoying the party and discussing some forthcoming project. Among the notable absentees were Akshay Kumar (though wife Twinkle Khanna was present), Salman Khan (who was represented by Sohail, Arbaaz and their respective wives) and Katrina Kaif. Priyanka Chopra tweeted her belated wishes the next morning. “Farhan’s co-star Deepika Padukone was also missing,” pointed out a source.
The single’s club for the night included Zayed (minus Mallika), Riteish (no good friend Genelia in sight), Hrithik’s Guzaarish co-star Monikangana Dutta (who came in with a female friend and was overheard complaining about how absurd she found her reported linkups in the media... and then spent considerable time chatting up Aditya Roy Kapoor). Also seen was Pratik, who walked out hand in hand with Soniya Mehra. The party carried on till early morning and then shifted to Shah Rukh’s residence.
